There's really not much to say about them just now, other than the fact that it's basically a Deep deck except you replace beefy Size 3 tanks with Black Knights.

Black Knight
With H-BT04, Black Knights become an exclusive archetype apart from Deep and it's time to give them their own page. Similarly to Deep, Black Knights rely on flooding the drop zone with cards to fuel their effects. There's also this weird mechanic with Buddy Monsters...we can get to that in a bit.

Purgatory Knight
It's funny how Purgatory Knights get their own archetype in Darkness Dragon World. I mean, Thunder Knights didn't get anything for Dragon World - but that's because in Dragon World, being an Armordragon was normal. In Darkness Dragon World? Armordragon/White Dragon is the most useless attribute set ever.
Thankfully, Bushiroad was gracious enough to gift Purgatory Knights an insane amount of support on entry, from spells to weapons to really good monsters. They get really interesting effects from sacrificing their own comrades in battle. Through a variety of means, sacrifice brings success. Besides that, Purgatory Knights has a pretty decent advantage game. They get gauge and hand very easily at the expense of life, but that's pretty typical for any DDW deck.

Deep
With the advent of BT05, we have received not only one, but two new archetypes for Darkness Dragon World. Technically three, but two of them are closely related so I imagine they're the same (for now). Deep, a random attribute given to select monsters from BT04, now suddenly bursts onto the scene with its own collection of monsters, effects, and even spell support. Alongside this mysterious Deep army rises a group of Black Knight monsters. Resembling an odd mix of Armordragon and Armorknight, Black Knights have mostly vanilla support but provides Deep with enough cards to make something work. And with a extremely well-made Impact card, Deep has what it takes to make a splash in the competitive metagame.

Deck Profile - Memento Mori (Outdated)
Darkness Dragon World has been given, ironically a new light and a new hope. Thanks to a series of fortunate cards, the Death archetype has been majorly buffed both in the form of monsters and spell support. Before, they played as a heavy rush deck with little form of recovery and field control. All they could do before was just hit face and hit face. But now, there's some really good options. From Size 0's to Size 3's, from board clear to salvage, even usable Set spells and complicated maneuvers, Death definitely got game now.
It's important to remember that the goal of Death is still death for your opponent. But there's a plethora of ways to skin a cat. Death for you opponent can now come from direct damage and Double Attack. There's other ways besides spells to clear the field, and weapons are no longer necessary as a crutch to fix the early game. You can now rush your opponents and cover your options safely without fear of too much backlash from aggro. Even beyond that, you can now create complicated maneuvers to beat your opponent at the very game they play. If you're interested in pulling off Katana World mechanics while hitting harder than Danger World, then you've come to the right place.

Death Ruler
Shadow Dive is a pretty kickass ability to have.
I'm not joking. The rush potential with it is ridiculous. You're more or less guaranteed to get damage in, and if you're opponent even calls a monster to the center that's helping you kill them faster. Of course, the current meta favors the triple formation but let's not forget that calling a monster to the center is, by normal field standards, the better option; it's equivalent to getting an extra attack off in most cases (weapons stay around, however, so the advantage is still with the weapons). Death monsters have generally piss-poor stats all-around, but that doesn't even matter since you're going to be direct attacking 80% of the time. Basically, Shadow Dive is only viable in a super-rush strategy.
And honestly, Death is nothing but super-rush. And it's tons of fun.

Black Dragon
Who would've thought that Bushiroad would make an entire species of dragons an archetype? So far, from Red to Green to Gold to Blue, Bushiroad has been rather random with how they assign colors to dragons. I mean, Thunder Knights are as multi-colored as a rainbow. But the fact that they managed to settle down for some consistency is a nice change of pace. I mean, there's no Black Dragons in Dragon World, after all.
...wait a minute...Steel Gauntlet Dragon is a Black Dragon? Wait, so is Gust Charging Dragon? Wait, there's more?...did I discover something I wasn't supposed to?
Moooving back on topic, Black Dragons (save their Dragon World counterparts) are blessed with insane power and Spectral Strike, which is basically a semi-improved version of Penetrate. On the other hand, they have some terrible defense, but this doesn't matter if you play it right. There are other hidden weaknesses, but Black Dragons are overall very aggressive and have the right tools to really leverage their strengths.

The Shadow of Ouroboros (Overview)
Embrace the darkness...
Darkness Dragon World. DDW for short. Since the world has the world "Dragon" in it, we can expect Bushiroad to give it some pretty ridiculous support and a variety of strong options to use. Though it would be interesting to see how different they can make this from, well, regular Dragon World. I say that, but Darkness Dragon World has already started to differentiate itself quite well. The effects are always slightly underhanded and a bit sinister, usually involving self-damage or destroying your own monster. In exchange, DDW can deal a lot of widespread destruction and direct damage in return. Furthermore, on top of that, Darkness Dragon World has two specific keywords: Spectral Strike and Shadow Dive, both allowing a DDW player to bypass a game mechanic to deal unintended damage.
The darkness covers the realms of the Black Dragons and Death Rulers, extending Deep into the heart of the shadows where the Purgatory Knights reside.
